In plain words
The poet, to the people of the world: Is there any other god [to take refuge in] besides him, you men without true knowledge? Only when the gods you hold to fall into trouble will you realize that he alone is God; at other times you will not. You know nothing at all of the hidden meaning beyond the words [of the Veda]. There is no god but him. Hold, all of you, in surrender to the two feet of my Master, who grazed the herds of calves.
