In plain words

The poet, to his heart: Even after seeing the way the Thief [who steals the hearts of his own] lies within Araṅgam of the wide groves, where the flooding waters spread and flow, and seeing his lovely lotus face, O heart, it seems you are hard: you will not know him as the incomparable one. Showing only a false love, you pass your days in your own deceit.
