In plain words

The poet, waking the Lord: The sun has come and reached the peak in the east; the thick darkness has gone, and the lovely hour of morning has come. All the great flowers have opened and run with honey. The gods and the kings, pressing in one after another, have crowded together and filled the quarter that faces your gaze [the south], and the din of the herds of great bull elephants that came in with them, with the cow elephants and the drums, is everywhere like the wave-tossed sea. Lord of Araṅgam, in grace, rise from your bed.
