In plain words

The poet, waking the Lord: Are these the Suns [the twelve Ādityas], with their tall, fine chariots? Are these the eleven riders of bulls [the Rudras], rulers of the world? Is this the six-faced one [Subrahmaṇya], on the peacock that suits him? The Maruts and the Vasus come pressing ahead of one another and crowd together; with horses and chariots, with singing and dancing, Kumāra's host has come in, and the crowding flood of them stands in the temple, which is like a great mountain, before your eyes. Are these they? Lord of Araṅgam, in grace, rise from your bed.
