। ॥ १२ ॥

In plain words

You have won sovereignty over kings on earth — what of it? You have acquired the rank of Indra among the Devas — what of it? You have even become chief among the shaven-headed — what of it, if you never once came face to face with your own Ātma?

Close to the Sanskrit

Sovereignty over kings has been obtained on the earth — from that, what? Or the state of Indra among the Devas has been amassed — from that, what? And chieftainship among the shaven-headed has been acquired — from that, what? — for one by whom his own Ātma was not at all directly realized.
