चित्तादिसर्वभावेषु ब्रह्मत्वेनैव भावनात् ।निरोधः सर्ववृत्तीनां प्राणायामः स उच्यते ॥ ११८ ॥

Hold everything — mind first of all, and every object and state after it — as Brahman alone. Out of that contemplation, all the mind's movements come to rest. That resting is what is called prāṇāyāma.
