The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Aparokṣānubhūtiḥ

Verse 117

In plain words

Wherever the seer, the seeing, and the seen all dissolve into one — that is where you fix your attention. Not on the tip of your nose.

Close to the Sanskrit

Wherever the cessation of the seer, the seeing, and the seen may occur — the gaze is to be fixed there alone, not one gazing at the tip of the nose.
