स्वबोधे नान्यबोधेच्छा बोधरूपतयात्मनः ।न दीपस्यान्यदीपेच्छा यथा स्वात्मप्रकाशने ॥ २९ ॥

When the Self is known, no second knowing is needed, because the Self is knowing itself. A lamp needs no other lamp to be seen.

In the knowing of oneself there is no desire for another knowing, because of the Self's being of the nature of knowing — just as there is no desire of a lamp for another lamp in the illuminating of itself.
