The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Ātmabodhaḥ

Verse 59

अखण्डानन्दरूपस्य तस्यानन्दलवाश्रिताः ।ब्रह्माद्यास्तारतम्येन भवन्त्यानन्दिनोऽखिलाः ॥ ५८ ॥

In plain words

Its nature is bliss, unbroken and whole. Brahmā and everyone after him live on drops of it — and by degrees, more here and less there, that is how all of them come to be happy.

Close to the Sanskrit

Resting on drops of the bliss of that one whose nature is undivided bliss, Brahmā and the rest, all of them, become possessors of bliss, by gradation.
