In plain words

Chew this betel with its powder, Hari — it will leave your mouth clean. And here is fruit, sweet and fragrant: taste it slowly, taste it with love. To make the worship complete, this gold and these gems are set out before you. Now, O you whom the ocean's daughter holds close, I take up the lamps and circle their flames before your face.

Close to the Sanskrit

Chew, O Hari, the betel with its powder, which makes the mouth clean; taste long, with affection, the sweet and fragrant fruit. For the completion of the worship, this array of gold and gems stands here; with lamps I perform the ārati, O you embraced by the ocean's daughter.
