In plain words
Think of a king about to leave on a journey: his guards, his officers, his charioteers and headmen all converge on him at once, ready to travel with him. In exactly that way, when your own hour comes and the breath begins pulling upward, every one of your faculties gathers around you, ready to go.

As, when a king is approaching, the ugras and the pratyenas [come toward him] — as, when a king is about to set out, the ugras, the pratyenas, the charioteers and headmen come toward him — in exactly this way, all the vital breaths come toward this self at the time of its end, when it becomes one whose breath goes upward.
