तद्धापि ब्रह्मदत्तश्चैकितानेयो राजानंभक्षयन्नुवाचायं त्यस्य राजा मूर्धानं वि-पातयताद्यदितोऽयास्य आङ्गिरसोऽन्येनो-दगायदिति वाचा च ह्येव स प्राणेन चो-दगायदिति ॥ २४ ॥
In plain words
And so too Brahmadatta, the descendant of Cikitāna, while drinking the soma, declared: 'May this king's head shatter today if Ayāsya Āṅgirasa chanted the udgītha using any other means!' For indeed he chanted through speech alone and through breath.

That and indeed also Brahmadatta the Caikitāneya, consuming the king, spoke: 'This king [of his] should cause his head to fall apart today, if Ayāsya Āṅgirasa sang out by another [than this]!' For indeed he sang out by speech and by breath.
