In plain words
Then Prāṇa got ready to leave — and the way a great, fine Sindh horse rips its picket-pegs clean out of the ground, that's exactly how he tore the other faculties loose from their places. They cried out, 'Please, lord, don't go — we truly cannot live without you.' 'Then pay me tribute,' he said. 'So be it,' they answered.

Then indeed, Prāṇa, about to depart, just as a great, fine, Sindh-bred horse would tear up the picket-pegs together, thus indeed he tore loose these very faculties. They indeed said: 'Do not, O lord, depart; we shall verily not be able to live without you.' 'Then render tribute to me.' 'So be it.' [13]
