अथ य इच्छेत्पुत्रो मे कपिलः पिङ्गलो जायेत द्वौ वेदावनुब्रुवीत सर्वमायुरियादिति दध्योदनं पाचयित्वा सर्पिष्मन्तमश्नीयातामीश्वरौ जनयितवै ॥

Now, if a man wishes for a tawny, brown-eyed son who masters two Vedas and lives out his full life, the two of them should have rice cooked with curds, and eat it with ghee — and they become able to bring such a son into the world.

Now, if he should desire: 'may a tawny, brown-eyed son be born to me; may he master two Vedas; may he attain his full lifespan' — then, having had curd-rice cooked, the two should eat it with ghee; [thereby] they become capable of begetting [such a son].
