Verse 329

अथ य इच्छेद्दुहिता मे पण्डिता जायेत सर्वमायुरियादिति तिलौदनं पाचयित्वा सर्पिष्मन्तमश्नीयातामीश्वरौ जनयितवै ॥ १७ ॥

In plain words

Now, if a man wishes for a learned daughter who lives out her full life, the two of them should eat rice cooked with sesame, together with ghee — and so they become able to bring such a daughter into being.

Close to the Sanskrit

Now, if he should desire: 'may a learned daughter be born to me; may she attain her full lifespan' — then, having had sesame-rice cooked, the two should eat it with ghee; [thereby] they become capable of begetting [such a daughter].
