स होवाच प्रजापतिरग्निर्वै वेदा इदं सर्वं विश्वानि भूतानि प्राणा वा इन्द्रियाणि पशवोऽन्नममृतं सम्राट्स्वराड्विरादत्तत्साङ्गः प्रथमं पादं जानीयादृग्यजुःसामाथर्वरूपः सूर्योऽन्तरादित्यो हिरण्मयः
In plain words
Then Prajāpati spoke again: Agni is the Vedas. Agni is this whole world, every being in it. Agni is the breath in you, or the senses -- take either reading. Agni is the animals, the food, the deathless. Agni is Emperor, Self-ruler, and Universal Ruler all at once. Know Agni, together with all of this as his limbs, as the first quarter of the chant. And the Sun -- the golden being living inside that Sun -- carries the form of all four Vedas at once.

Then Prajāpati said: Agni indeed is the Vedas, this whole [universe], all beings; the vital breaths, or the sense-organs, the animals, food, [and] the immortal; the Emperor, the Self-ruler, [and] the Widely-ruling one -- that [Agni], together with these as limbs, one should know as the first quarter. Having the form of the Ṛk, Yajus, Sāman, and Atharvan, the Sun, the inner Āditya, made of gold [is to be known likewise, as the second].
