एवं पाङ्क्तेन दैववित्तविद्यासंयुक्तेन कर्मणा त्र्यन्नात्मकःप्रजापतिर्भवतीति व्याख्यातम्; अनन्तरं च जायादिवित्तंपरिवारस्थानीियमित्युक्तम् ।तत्र पुत्रकर्मापरविद्यानां लोक-प्राप्तिसाधनत्वमात्रं सामान्येनावगतम्; न पुत्रादीनां लोक-प्राप्तिफलं प्रति विशेषसम्बन्धनियमः ।सोऽयं पुत्रादीनांसाधनानां साध्यविशेषसम्बन्धो वक्तव्य इत्युत्तरकण्डिकाप्रणीयते—

It has already been explained that through the fivefold ritual accompanied by divine wealth and knowledge, one attains the state of Prajapati. Afterwards, it was mentioned that wealth like a wife serves as an attendant entourage. But there, it was only understood in a general way that sons, rituals, and lower knowledge act as means to reach various worlds; no specific rule governing which means leads to which exact result had been established. Therefore, to explain the precise connection between these instruments and their specific attainments, the following section is introduced.

Thus it has been explained that by means of the five-fold action associated with divine wealth and knowledge, one becomes Prajapati; and subsequently, wealth consisting of a wife and others was stated to occupy the position of attendants. There, the fact that sons, rituals, and lower knowledge are merely means for attaining worlds was understood generally; there was no rule of specific relationship of sons and others regarding the fruit of world attainment. Therefore, this specific relationship of sons and other means to particular attainable results needs to be stated; hence the following section is introduced.
