In plain words

Now, the northern rays of the sun are its northern honey-channels. The Atharvāṅgirasa sages are the bees, history and mythology are the flowers, and those waters are the nectar. Those sages concentrated upon history and mythology, and from that focused austerity arose the essence of glory, energy, sensory power, vitality, and nourishment. It flowed out and settled all around the sun. That is precisely the supreme dark form of the sun.

Close to the Sanskrit

Now, those rays of this [sun] which are northward, they indeed are its northern honey-tubes; the Atharvāṅgirasas are the honey-makers, history and mythology the flower, those are the immortal waters. Those very Atharvāṅgirasas concentrated upon this history and mythology; of that concentrated [corpus], glory, energy, sensory power, vitality, and food-essence was born. That oozed forth, it rested all around the sun; that indeed is this which is the highest dark form of the sun.
