तद्धैतद्धोर आङ्गिरस कृष्णाय देवकीपुत्रायोक्त्वोवाचापिपास एव स बभूवसोऽन्तवेलायामेतत्त्रय प्रतिपद्येताक्षितमस्यच्युतमसि प्राणसश्शितमसीति त-त्रैते द्वे ऋचौ भवत ॥ ६ ॥

Ghora, a descendant of Angiras, taught this very truth to Krishna, the son of Devakī, and told him that he who knows this becomes utterly free from thirst and want. At the final hour of life, a person should take refuge in this triad: 'You are the imperishable, you are the unshaken, you are the very essence resting in the breath.' To this very truth, these two Vedic verses bear witness.
