Now, as for the third oblation one might offer: let him offer it saying, 'To the apāna breath, svāha!' The apāna breath is satisfied. When apāna is satisfied, speech is satisfied; when speech is satisfied, fire is satisfied; when fire is satisfied, the earth is satisfied; and when the earth is satisfied, whatever the earth and fire sustain also becomes satisfied. Following their satisfaction, he himself is fulfilled with offspring, cattle, food, brilliance, and spiritual radiance.

Now, the third oblation which one might offer—let him offer it with 'To the apāna breath, svāha!' The apāna is satisfied. When the apāna is satisfied, speech is satisfied; when speech is satisfied, fire is satisfied; when fire is satisfied, the earth is satisfied; when the earth is satisfied, whatever the earth and fire preside over, that is satisfied. Following the satisfaction of that, he is satisfied with progeny, cattle, food, brilliance, and Vedic glory.
