स य एषोऽणिमैतदात्म्यमिदँ सर्वंतत्सत्यँ स आत्मा तत्त्वमसि श्वेतकेतोइति भूय एव मा भगवान्विज्ञापयत्वि-ति तथा सोम्येति होवाच ॥ ७ ॥

That subtle essence is the Self of all this universe. That is the truth. That is the Supreme Soul. That you are, O Śvetaketu. Hearing this, the son asks, 'Respected father, please explain this to me even further.' 'So be it, my gentle child,' the father replied.

That which is this subtle essence, this whole universe has that as its self; that is truth, that is the self, that you are, O Śvetaketu—thus. 'May revered sir explain this very thing to me again,' thus. 'So be it, O gentle one,' indeed he said.
