अथ ये चास्येह जीवा ये च प्रेता यच्चान्यदिच्छन्न लभते सर्वं तदत्र गत्वा विन्दतेऽत्र ह्यस्यैते सत्याः कामा अनृतापिधानास्तद्यथापि हिरण्यनिधिं निहितमक्षेत्रज्ञा उपर्युपरि संचरन्तो न विन्देयुरेवमेवेमाः सर्वाः प्रजा अहरहर्गच्छन्त्य एतं ब्रह्मलोकं न विन्दन्त्यनृतेन हि प्रत्यूढाः ॥ २ ॥
In plain words
And whatever living relatives he has here, whatever departed ones, and whatever else he longs for but fails to gain—he finds all of that by going right here into this inner abode. For here lie his true desires, though veiled by illusion. Just as people who do not know the field may walk directly over a buried treasure of gold again and again without ever finding it, exactly so, all these creatures go day after day into this very realm of Brahman during sleep and yet do not find it, being led astray by illusion.

Now whatever living ones of him here and whatever departed and whatever else desiring he does not obtain, all that going here he finds. Here surely of him these true desires are covered by untruth. Just as even a treasure of gold buried, those ignorant of the field walking about over and over might not find, exactly thus these all creatures day by day going this world of Brahman do not find, carried away surely by untruth.
