Verse 61

एवमेव प्रतिहर्तारमुवाच प्रतिहर्तर्या देवता प्रतिहारमन्वायत्ता तां चेदविद्वा- न्प्रतिहरिष्यसि मूर्धा ते विपतिष्यतीति ते ह समारतास्तूष्णीमासांचक्रिरे ॥११॥

In plain words

In the same manner he addressed the pratihartṛ priest: 'Pratihartṛ, there is a deity anchored to the pratihāra chant. If you chant the pratihāra without knowing her, your head will shatter.' Hearing this, they stopped their work and sat down in complete silence.

Close to the Sanskrit

In this very way he spoke to the pratihartṛ priest: 'O pratihartṛ, the deity that is anchored to the pratihāra, if you without knowing her will perform the pratihāra, your head will fall off.' They indeed, having desisted, sat down silently.
