Verse 77

ऋतुषु पञ्चविधँ सामोपासीत वस-न्तो हिंकारो ग्रीष्मः प्रस्तावो वर्षा उद्गी-थ शरत्प्रतिहारो हेमन्तो निधनम् ॥ १ ॥

In plain words

Let a person meditate upon the fivefold sāma manifested across the seasons: let spring be the opening hiṃ-kara, summer the introduction, the rains the soaring udgitha, autumn the response, and winter the conclusion.
