In plain words
The hair on the body is the Hiṅkāra, because it is the outermost, first-encountered part. The skin is the Prastāva, because it immediately follows the hair. The flesh is the Udgītha, because of its central importance. The bones are the Pratihāra, because they hold the body together from within. The marrow is the Nidhana, because it is the innermost, final layer. This sacred chant known as the Yajñāyajñīya Sāman is woven directly into the very fabric of the body's parts.
