In plain words
How does the invisible light leave a trace that touch can know? The text explains: when you touch this physical body and feel a living warmth bound up with form, that warmth is the signature of the conscious light that entered the frame to shape name and form. It never strays from life. A living person is warm; one about to die grows cold. At death, this heat merges back into the supreme source, leaving no separate part. Just as smoke signals fire, warmth signals life. This touch is a direct portal to seeing that supreme light. In the same way, sound is a portal to hearing it. When a seeker wishes to perceive the sign of that light, let them close their ears with their fingers. They will hear an inner hum like the roar of a chariot or the bellow of a bull—a resonance inside the body like an external fire blazing. Recognizing it as a light both seen and heard within, let them meditate upon it. Such meditation grants a luminous, captivating presence and widespread renown. Because touch and form are intertwined, meditating on the tactile sign blossoms into visual grace, fulfilling the promise of true knowledge rather than mere physical softness. Whoever knows these twin aspects attains the unseen fruit of heavenly realization. The double repetition emphasizes its supreme importance.

How again does the mark of that light become accessible to skin-perception, he says—where at what time, this is an adverb, in this body having touched by hand with contact one recognizes the warmth accompanying form and having the nature of touch-heat. That indeed is the mark of the consciousness-light which has entered the body for the manifestation of name and form, because of non-deviation. For warmth does not deviate from the living self. Hot indeed when about to live, cold when about to die, thus it is known. And at the time of death, because heat goes to the supreme deity and reaches non-separateness. Therefore warmth is an extraordinary mark, like smoke from fire. Therefore for that supreme [light], this vision is directly as if a means of seeing, that is the meaning. Similarly for that light, this hearing is spoken of as a means of hearing. When a man desires to hear the mark of light, then closing both ears, this word is an adverb, closing having covered, meaning, covering with fingers, like a roar, like the sound of a chariot he hears that roar, a sound like a bellowing, and just as one hears the sound of a fire burning outside inside the body, that this light, because of having the mark of being seen and heard, one should meditate upon thus. From such meditation it is pleasing to the eye, seen and renowned. Because the fruit originating from the meditation on the quality of touch produces it in form, because form and touch are co-existent, and because visual attractiveness is desired. And thus the fruit of knowledge would be established, not in the possession of touch qualities like softness. Who knows the two qualities thus. The attainment of the heavenly world is the unseen fruit mentioned. Repetition is for the sake of respect.
