वान् ।इत्युक्तः ऋषभः तस्मै सत्यकामाय ह उवाच— प्राची दिक्कला ब्रह्मणः पादस्य चतुर्थो भागः ।तथा प्रतीची दिक्कला दक्षिणा दिक्कला उदीची दिक्कला, एष वै सोम्य ब्रह्मणः पादः चतुष्कलः चतस्रः कला अवयवा यस्य सोऽयं चतुष्कलः पादो ब्रह्मणः प्रकाशवान्नाम प्रकाशवानित्येव नाम अभिधानं यस्य ।तथोत्तरेऽपि पादास्त्रयश्चतुष्कला ब्रह्मणः ॥

Thus addressed, the bull said to Satyakāma: 'The eastern direction is a quarter of Brahman, and so are the western, southern, and northern directions. Gentle one, this four-parted foot of Brahman is called Luminous. In the same way, the remaining three feet of Brahman are also four-parted.'

Thus addressed, the bull said to that Satyakāma: The eastern quarter is a digit, a fourth part of Brahman's foot. Likewise the western quarter, the southern quarter, the northern quarter. This indeed, gentle one, is Brahman's four-parted foot, having four parts as its subdivisions; this four-parted foot of Brahman is named Prakashvat, luminous by name is its designation. And similarly the other three feet are also four-parted of Brahman.
