स यः कश्चित् एवं यथोक्तमेतं ब्रह्मणः चतुष्कलं पादं विद्वान् प्रकाशवानित्यनेन गुणेन विशिष्टम् उपास्ते, तस्येदं फलम्— प्रकाशवानस्मिँल्लोके भवति प्रख्यातो भवतीत्यर्थः ; तथा अदृष्टं फलम्— प्रकाशवतः ह लोकान् देवादिंसंबन्धिनः मृतः सन् जयति प्राप्नोति ; य एतमेवं विद्वान् चतुष्कलं पादं ब्रह्मणः प्रकाशवानित्युपास्ते ॥

Whoever understands and worships this four-parted foot of Brahman as characterized by luminosity, receives this reward: he becomes luminous and renowned in this world. And there is an unseen reward as well—upon passing away, he attains the radiant worlds associated with the gods.

Whosoever, knowing this four-parted foot of Brahman as described, characterized by the quality of being luminous, worships it, this is his fruit: he becomes luminous in this world—meaning, he becomes renowned. And similarly the unseen fruit: after death, he wins and attains the luminous worlds related to the gods and others, he who thus knowing worships the four-parted foot of Brahman as luminous.
