In plain words

Within this very body—this shoot grown from fire, water, and food—the subtle reality that causes it all is present, much like the hidden core within a banyan seed. Yet you do not perceive it with your senses. Just as salt dissolved in water remains invisible to sight and touch, yet is fully known through taste, so too will you realize this existent root of the universe through the proper means of knowledge.

Close to the Sanskrit

In this very sprout-like body produced from fire, water, and food, the words vāva and kila serve to show the remembrance of the teacher's instruction. The existent reality, which is the cause of the sprout formed of fire, water, and food, is present just like the subtle essence of a banyan seed, yet you do not perceive it or discern it with your senses. Just as here in water, salt remaining unperceived by sight and touch was nonetheless made available by the tongue, exactly in this very way, you will perceive the existent root of the world, which is present here indeed, through another means like the subtle essence of salt -- this is the remainder of the sentence.
