स य इत्यादि समानम् ।यद्येवं लवणाणिमवदिन्द्रियै-रनुपलभ्यमानमपि जगन्मूलं सत् उपायान्तरेण उपलब्धुंशक्यते, यदुपलम्भात्कृतार्थः स्याम् अनुपलब्भाच्चाकृतार्थःस्यामहम्, तस्यैवोपलब्धौ क उपायः इत्येतत् भूय एव माभगवान् विज्ञापयतु दृष्टान्तेन ।तथा सोम्य इति ह उवाच ॥

That much is as before. If this subtle root of the universe—though imperceptible to the senses, much like the fine essence of salt—can indeed be discovered through another means, and by realizing it I achieve total fulfillment while missing it leaves me unfulfilled, then what is the precise method to know it? Revered teacher, please explain this to me once more through a clear example. And so he replied, 'So be it, gentle one.'
