In plain words
The unawakened mistakenly identify the ego with the physical body and its group of adjuncts. To prevent any such confusion, the text declares: 'Now follows the instruction of the Self.' The Self is taught in its absolute purity, as pure existence, untainted and alone. Perceiving the Self everywhere as the one, unborn, all-pervading reality—vast like space, complete, and without a second—the wise seeker, through deep contemplation and direct realization, finds all his joy, sport, and union within the Self... Having thus set forth the entire teaching of the scripture, the śruti concludes the narrative: 'To him whose mental stains have been washed away...'

By the ego, the bodily aggregate is also indicated by the non-discriminating; hence, lest that doubt should arise, 'now thereafter the instruction of the self'—the self is instructed solely as pure, of the nature of existence, unassociated. Seeing the self alone as everything everywhere—one, unborn, all-pervading like space, full, devoid of another—that very wise one, through reflection and realization, is one who delights in the self... Having stated the entire meaning of the scripture exhaustively, the śruti concludes the narrative: 'To him whose stains have been rubbed away...'
