Bhashya
स्यापत्य शौनक, उदरशाण्डिल्याय शिष्याय एतम उद्गीथ दर्शनम उक्त्वा उवाच- यावत् ते तव प्रजायाम्, प्रजास तताविर्त्यर्थ, एनम् उद्गीथ त्वत्सततिजा वेदिष्यन्ते ज्ञास्य न्ति, तावन्त काल परोवरीयो हैभ्य प्रसिद्धेभ्यो लौकिक जीवनेभ्य उत्तरोत्तरविशिष्टतर जीवन तेभ्यो भविष्यति ॥
In plain words
Having imparted this vision of the Udgītha to his disciple Udara Śāṇḍilya, [the teacher] said to him: 'O Śaunaka, as far as your descendants know and understand this Udgītha, for that long will their lives be higher and far more exalted than those of ordinary, established worldly people.'

O descendant, Śaunaka, having imparted this Udgītha vision to the pupil Udara Śāṇḍilya, he said: As far as in your progeny, your descendants will know and understand this Udgītha, so far will there be for them a higher, successively more excellent life than these well-known worldly lives.
