ताश्च स खादित्वा अतिशेषान् अतिशिष्टान् जायायै कारुण्यादाजहार, सा आटिकी अग्र एव कुल्माषप्राप्ते सुभिक्षा शोभनभिक्षा, लब्धान्नेत्येतत्, बभूव संवृत्ता, तथापि स्त्रीस्वाभाव्यादनवज्ञाय तान्कुल्माषान् पत्युर्हस्तात्प्रतिगृह्य निदधौ निक्षिप्तवती ॥

In plain words

Having eaten, he brought the leftover food to his wife out of pure compassion. Though she was already well-provided, yet with the natural grace of a wife, she did not disdain them, but accepting the pulses from her husband's hands, she put them away safely.

And having eaten those remnants, out of compassion he brought them to his wife; she already had provisions, yet from feminine nature without despising them, accepting those pulses from her husband's hand, she laid them down.
