The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Dakṣiṇāmūrtistotram

Verse 7

स्वदक्षजानुस्थितवामपादंपादोदरालंकृतयोगपट्टम् ।अपस्मृतेराहितपादमङ्गेप्रणौमि देवं प्रणिधानवन्तम् ॥ ७ ॥

In plain words

His left foot drawn up onto his own right knee, the yoga-band circling leg and waist, his other foot set down on the body of Apasmāra — forgetfulness itself, pinned beneath him: I bow to the god, absorbed and unmoving.

Close to the Sanskrit

Him whose left foot rests upon his own right knee, whose yoga-band adorns foot and belly, whose foot is set down upon the body of Apasmāra — the god possessed of deep meditative absorption — I bow to.
