सौराष्ट्रदेशे वसुधावकाशेज्योतिर्मयं चन्द्रकलावतंसम् ।भक्तिप्रदानाय कृतावतारंतं सोमनाथं शरणं प्रपद्ये ॥ १ ॥

In the sacred land of Saurāṣṭra I take refuge in Somanātha—radiant with divine light, crowned by the crescent moon, manifesting himself so that devotion may awaken in the heart.
