In plain words

She cracks the shell of the universe open. She sets the creeper of Śiva's matted hair swaying and shining. She drops out of heaven, tumbles down the boulders and cave-walls of the golden mountain, rolls out across the face of the earth, shouts down the whole massed army of our gathered sins, and fills the sea. River of the city of the gods, purifier — purify us.

Close to the Sanskrit

Splitting the cosmic egg, setting the creeper of matted locks on Hara's head astir, falling from the world of heaven, tumbling from the boulder-crags of the caves of the golden mountain, rolling on the surface of the earth, utterly rebuking the massed army of accumulated sins, filling the ocean — may she, the purifying river of the city of the gods, purify us.
