In plain words
The mind turns, the eye opens, the senses reach out — I am the reason they can. Every adjunct has fallen away from me; I am like space, holding everything, marked by nothing. Just as the sun is the cause of all the world's motion, so that one whose very nature is awareness that never lapses — that is what I am, the Self.
Close to the Sanskrit
The cause in the activity of mind, eye, and the rest; from whom every limiting adjunct has been cast off; resembling space; just as the sun is the cause of the world's activity — that one, whose very nature is eternal awareness, am I, the Self.
