In plain words
Sometimes he is among scholars, still hungry to know and absorbed without pause. Sometimes among the great poets, their speech honey-sweet with the rasa of ornamented verse. Sometimes among the sharpest logicians, sound in argument and intent on anumiti — inference. The sage, his darkness cut away by the Guru's dīkṣā, does not fall into vyāmoha.

Sometimes among the learned, who desire to know, who are utterly absorbed; sometimes among the finest poets, luscious with the rasa of poetic ornament; sometimes among the foremost logicians, intent on anumiti — inference — and armed with sound arguments — the sage, his darkness cut away by the Guru's dīkṣā, does not fall into vyāmoha.
