। ॥ ४ ॥

In plain words

Sometimes he is with children, their palms clapping out the beat, laughing when they laugh. Sometimes he is among young men and women wearing their youth like jewelry, delighting with them. Sometimes he grieves with the old, whose hearts churn with worry. Through it all, the sage, his darkness cut away by the Guru's dīkṣā, does not fall into vyāmoha.

Sometimes together with children, whose beats are made by their palms and who are full of laughter; sometimes delighting in the company of young men and women adorned with youth; sometimes also lamenting with the aged, whose hearts are churned by anxiety — the sage does not fall into vyāmoha, his darkness cut away by the Guru's dīkṣā.
