In plain words
Sometimes he is in jāgrat, the waking state, dealing with viṣayas through the karaṇas. Sometimes he is in svapna, taking up dream-objects in just the same way. Sometimes he experiences the ease of suṣupti, deep sleep. Through all of it, the sage, his darkness cut away by the Guru's dīkṣā, does not fall into vyāmoha.
Close to the Sanskrit
Sometimes in jāgrat, transacting by means of viṣayas and karaṇas; sometimes too resorting to the very objects that stand within svapna; sometimes continuously experiencing only the happiness of suṣupti — the sage, whose darkness has been destroyed by the Guru's dīkṣā, does not fall into vyāmoha.
