अङ्गं हरेः पुलकभूषणमाश्रयन्तीभृङ्गाङ्गनेव मुकुलाभरणं तमालम् ।अङ्गीकृताखिलविभूतिरपाङ्गलीलामाङ्गल्यदाऽस्तु मम मङ्गलदेवतायाः ॥ १ ॥
In plain words
Like a lady bee settling on a dark tamāla tree whose only ornament is its buds, she rests on Hari's body, whose only ornament is the thrill risen across his skin. Her sidelong glance has taken every splendour into itself. May that glance, the play of the Goddess who is auspiciousness itself, bring its blessing to me.

Resorting to the body of Hari, whose ornament is horripilation, as a female bee resorts to the tamāla tree whose ornament is its buds — may the sidelong-glance-play of the Goddess of auspiciousness, that play which has taken all splendour into itself, be the giver of auspiciousness to me.
