Verse 7

In plain words

By the power of her look alone, Kāma first found standing room in Viṣṇu, the slayer of Madhu, in whom all auspiciousness lives. Let that half-glance of the ocean's daughter — slow, lingering, languid with ease — fall here on me.

Close to the Sanskrit

By whose power a place was indeed first obtained by Manmatha in the slayer of Madhu, who holds all auspiciousness — may that half-glance of the daughter of the makaras' abode, slow, and languid with ease, fall here upon me.
