मनो निवृत्तिः परमोपशान्तिःसा तीर्थवर्या मणिकर्णिका च ।ज्ञानप्रवाहा विमलादिगङ्गासा काशिकाहं निजबोधरूपा ॥ १ ॥

When the mind stops running, that stillness is the highest peace. That is the greatest of all sacred crossings — that is Maṇikarṇikā. Knowledge flowing is the spotless, original Gaṅgā. That Kāśī am I, made of my own awareness.
