In plain words
At first light I worship the arms of Lalitā — two wish-granting vines, their fingers the tender new shoots, alight with ruby rings; ruby and gold at wrist and upper arm catching the morning; and in those hands the sugarcane bow, the arrows of flowers, the goad.
Close to the Sanskrit
At dawn I worship the wish-granting creeper that is Lalitā's arm — rich with finger-sprouts glittering with red-gemmed rings, resplendent with ruby and gold bangles and armlets, bearing the sugarcane bow, the flower arrows, and the goad.
