In plain words
Bowing low to the sage, the disciple remained faithfully at his feet for three full years. As they both stayed thus, observers across all realms watched in quiet wonder. Then the divine Mother Lalitā, joined by Kāmeśvara, appeared before Hayagrīva and gently spoke to him in private: 'O Hayagrīva, your devotion to sacred truth is deep. You might offer a kingdom or even your own life, but you must never impart the sixteen-syllabled mantra. Sages declare that this sacred lore must be guarded as secretly as an illicit love. Therefore, this hymn of mine, which fulfills every desire, must be kept hidden above all else. Created and deeply concealed by both Kāmeśvara and myself, it was through my command that the thousand names were fashioned. This supreme hymn, spoken by both of us, remedies every flaw and shortfall in any ritual practice. Because it crowns all actions with perfection, I have named it the grantor of all fulfillment.'

Having bowed to the wise sage, he stayed near his feet without leaving for three years. Then, the guru and disciple remaining thus, all the worlds and onlookers were greatly astonished. Thereafter, Goddess Lalitā, accompanied by Kāmeśvara, having manifested, urged Hayagrīva in secret thus. The Goddess spoke: 'In you, who have faith in the scriptures, there is love for us; a kingdom may be given, the head may be given, but the sixteen-syllabled mantra must not be given. The sages declared that this knowledge should be guarded like a mother's paramour; therefore, this hymn of mine which brings about all fulfillment is extremely to be kept secret. Composed by me and Kāmeśvara also, it was kept very hidden; by my command, the deities made the thousand names. This principal hymn bringing all fulfillment has been spoken by us both; by chanting it, the fulfillment of any deficiencies in all ritual actions takes place. Therefore, this name-hymn bringing about all fulfillment has been made by me.'
