Then, urged by the recitation of those three hundred names composed by Śiva and Pārvatī, Hayagrīva spoke to the pot-born sage Agastya, who had long taken refuge in the lotus feet of his preceptor: She whose essence is the sacred letter ka, the auspicious Mother, radiant with blessed qualities, residing upon the sacred mountain, captivating and complete in all cosmic arts. Her form is the letter ka—meaning the very syllable ka serves as her distinguishing mark, revealing her as the living embodiment of the supreme Kādi-vidyā.
