In plain words
One of them holds a flute, lifted the mountain that holds up the earth, wears the Śrīvatsa for an ornament. And the other is one as well — Śaṃkara, who carries the poison, who carries the Gaṅgā — and he is Mādhava. Mother Maṇikarṇikā, the people who go down into your water become Rudras, become Haris, and there are so many of them. How can there be many? Each one is one.
Close to the Sanskrit
One is the flute-bearer, the holder of the mountain that holds the earth, the wearer of the Śrīvatsa as ornament; and he who is also one, indeed Śaṃkara, the bearer of poison, the bearer of Gaṅgā, is Mādhava. O Mother Maṇikarṇikā, those human beings who plunge into your water — they become Rudras or Haris, many; how is there any plurality of them?
