The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Mohamudgaraḥ

Verse 11

In plain words

Don't take pride in your money, in your people, in being young. Time carries all of it off in one blink. Let go of this whole thing, woven out of māyā — know brahman, and step into it yourself.

Close to the Sanskrit

Do not make pride in wealth, people, and youth; Time carries everything off in the blink of an eye. Having abandoned this entire thing made of māyā, you — having known — enter the state of brahman.
