The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Mohamudgaraḥ

Verse 26

In plain words

Let go of craving, of anger, of greed, of delusion — and hold the Self in view: who am I? Those fools who know nothing of the Self are buried out of sight in hell, and there they are cooked.

Close to the Sanskrit

Having abandoned desire, anger, greed, and delusion, contemplate the Self: "Who am I?" Those fools, devoid of knowledge of the Self, hidden away in hell, are cooked there.
