In plain words

Oh, that mighty, rolling sound is heard along the banks born of Śiva's matted locks—echoing among wild hunters, bards, priests, scholars, rogues, and actors alike. O destroyer of boundless sin and suffering, you who bring peace to every living creature, O goddess Narmada, I bow to your lotus feet.

Close to the Sanskrit

Oh, the resounding roar has been heard, sustained on the banks of the great lord's matted hair, among hunters, bards, and brahmins, among scholars, rogues, and actors; O destroyer of endless sin and suffering, bestower of peace on all living beings, I bow to your lotus feet, O goddess Narmada.
